1989 Ford Sierra Sappire review from South Africa
"Not a car to cherish"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing went wrong with the car during the 3 months I owned it.
General comments?
A friend closed the bonnet by pressing hard on the sheet metal instead of just allowing it to drop, putting a big dent in it.
The steering wheel felt cheap and flexible.
Acceleration was mild for a 3 litre motor in such a little car.
Car rode well and had very low wind noise.
Interior comfortable, but cheap-feeling.
Car felt like it would deteriorate rapidly.
Contract of employment ended early so car was sold. Otherwise would have kept it longer. Went to Canada.
