Nothing has gone wrong yet.
I bought an 1983 2.8 xr4i and there isn't a single boy racer that can get passed.
I totally disagree about the xr4x4 OK I grips well around corners, but with a 4i you can go round corners sideways and look good doing it.
I have to say there isn't a single car that I have driven since I bought the 4i two years ago now I married and have a baby on the way so I bought a land rover so there is enough room for the wife to put all the baby stuff in and I can peacefully drive around in the 4i.
Pathetic by 2days standards. zs180 leave it for dead.
The comment above is very ill-informed.
The XR4i is a classic rear wheel drive performance car with fun, involving handling. Of course it won't match a modern hot hatch like the ZS for pace (well, modern is stretching it a bit for this car), but in terms of grin factor, it's well up there.
I also seriously doubt there will be a single ZS still running by the time it gets to the age of the Sierra. How many 20 year old Rovers are still going now?
To the ZS owner, don't forget your car is a 11 year + Design so that makes your car awfully old before its time!
