Some problems with leaking anti-freeze in both this one and the one I owned before. Dealer fixed it both times.
Wipers stick occasionally.
To put it simply, this car thinks it's a sports car.
It accelerates quick, brakes well, and handles nearly as nimbly as some of the higher-performance cars I've had the privilege of test-driving.
I'm a very large person and it's nice to have a car that accomodates my size well and still performs as admirably as it does. Large trunk for a mid-size.
My only problem with this car is it is not terribly fuel efficient, maybe 18 mpg? But it makes up for it.
I have been able to get up to 27 MPG on the highway on a Stock 95 SHO!
If it is a SHO, it either has a 3.0 for a manual, or a 3.2 for an automatic. I agree, the SHO is a very cool looking car, fast, but is very unreliable. It was on the top 10 list of vehicles not to get by Consumer Guide. A better choice in my opinion is the 92-94 Nissan Maxima SE, quite a few less horse power (190), but the reliability and resale value make up for that.
SHO does NOT have a 3.8L. It either has a 3.0L with the Stick 5-speed, or a 3.2L with a automatic.
Don't embarrass other SHO owners!
I wanted to comment on the comments that were submitted in Aug of 2001. I went to the 92 to 94 Nissan Maxima comments and noticed they were very very similar to the comments here about the SHO. I own a 97 SHO with the V8 and I am extremely happy with it. I also love the Maxima so in my opinion you can't go wrong with either pick.
