1993 Ford Taurus SHO review from North America
"Awesome car!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Starter.
Starter.
Starter.
Starter!
Water pump.
Clutch @ 80,0000 and again @ 194,000.
Finally had to replace rotors/calipers @ 88,000 miles and the rear brakes again @ 150,000.
The AC condenser went bad at 180,000.
A front idler arm at 190,000.
Headliner dropped at 150,000.
General comments?
Besides replacing starters, which I have to believe is a problem because it sits directly below the oil filter (stupid location!), you can't get a much better performing car than this has been for me. Parts are expensive though. Extremely cold AC.
Now my oldest son is driving it! The paint is still shiny and great looking. THIS CAR IS 15 YEARS OLD!
I drove it every day to work for 10 years. I paid $9500 for it and it has been the best bargain ever.
