No major things have gone wrong on car.
Had to replace the belt at 65000 miles.
Just put a new set of brake pads and rotors on it at 95000.
Coolant bottle replaced at 94000 miles when check coolant light keep coming on. (bad sensor)
Needs new mufflers, but has 96000 mile on it and went through a few Michigan winters.
Car is very quick.
Great road trip car. Car gets almost 30 miles a gallon, even at 75 mph.
Would buy another one.
I had a 1998 Taurus now for 5 years. When I got it there were 65,000 miles on it. It now has 135,000 and is going strong, though I do feel some transmission slippage. From what I understand that is common with the Taurus. (My previous car was a 1994 Taurus and when I had to get rid of it, there were close to 190,000 miles on the clock.) These things are built to last if you care for them.
