2000 Ford Taurus SE review from North America
"Low cost to maintain"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Really nothing. I am an ase mechanic for a ford dealer in so. california. I have replaced a clogged fuel filter that caused some stalling on the highway, esp when climbing hills. for those of you that have problems with your brake rotors warping, (causes vibration when stepping on the brake pedal) get some aftermarket rotors (bendix work very well) as they are thicker than factory units so they handle the heat better and cause less warpage. Hope this helps anyone out there.
General comments?
The Taurus is like any other car out there, if you take care of it, it will take care of you. Make sure you change the fuel filter, for some reason the taurus is prone to clogging fuel filters. I have almost 90000 miles on it and have not had any serious problems with the car. Just remember that EVERY car out there will wear out the brakes and everything else on the car sooner or later..
