1995 Ford Taurus GL review from North America

What things have gone wrong with the car?
Shortly after I bought the car it started to stall out. Mechanics were unable to identify the source of the problem, but it seemed to resolve with a new fuel filter and premium gas.
Around 70,000 miles it began to hesitate when shifting from first gear to second.
At 87,000 mile the transmission died on a trip to Parris Island and was rebuilt for $1,800.
At 89,000 miles the car started to decelerate on the highway and when I tried to pull over I realized I had also lost the brakes and steering. My car is currently being looked at by the insurance company, but my mechanic thinks it was a bearing in the master cylinder from what I described.
The whole time I have had the car it is always loosing coolant, so I have to keep some in the trunk. We have been unable to find a leak.
The check engine light is almost always on from a faulty oxygen sensor.
The air conditioning died before I bought the car.
General comments?
The interior is very roomy and comfortable and the upholstery is great except for the stuff my friends and I have spilled in it.
The acceleration is unpewdictable because of the transmission problem.
The speaker were actually fairly decent and clear.
The paint didn't fade even though it had been in Florida.
