"Fix Or Repair Daily (F.O.R.D.)"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Right front tire fell off due to CV shaft & Ball joint

Tune-ups regularly

Rust all over!

Doesn't move well in snow

Back tires spin

New brakes all the time

Key ignition damage

Radio faded in/out

Ugly maroon interior (white exterior)

Wouldn't start in cold weather

Power control panel stopped working

New headlights all the time

Would die out if I sat at a light too long.

General comments?

I will never get another Ford car again. I don't think they are very reliable, expecially a Taurus. I now have a Grand Prix, which is a major improvement.

The 2nd day I had the car, it quit on me. I needed to have something done to the starting up of the vehicle, and something done to where I put the key into. What a mess! I only paid $450 for the car, but $200 bucks in repairs that same weekend.

You pay $450.00 for twelve year old car and complain that it's a piece of junk. I don't think Ford or any other maker would be concerned with your opinion or losing your next big auto purchase.

If you only paid $450 for your car, it naturally needed a fair bit of work! So I don't know if you're that badly off, except being inconvenienced every now and again.

An ugly color is NOT something going wrong with the car.

There you go...it's a $450 car.

Wah wah...

STFU and don't complain about used and abused cars you bought for under $500. What do you expect?

And the color? You don't like the interior? Then did you even look inside the thing before you bought? Honestly, you don't HAVE to buy crap.

You don't deserve to post here.

This is one of those many "reviews" that tells us more about the reviewer than the car.

But he came up with such a clever title, ya know, the fix or repair daily thing.

Thought that one up hisself, he did.

Okay this review wins the award for most ridiculous expectations.

Complains about the reliability of a $450. vehicle.

$450. won't even buy you a reliable moped.

Yes, there is good news! The Grand Prix is a "major improvement".

He probably paid $500. for that gem!

This guy is right about the Taurus though and most Fords. My Dad bought one brand new back in 97 and the transmission went out twice and the engine blew all within 50,000 miles, now it is barely about to make it past 110,000 miles I bet. Plus it does feel like you are fixing or repairing daily, found on road dead, or my personal favorite F****d On Race Day.

I also used to think poorly of Fords, but complaining about a $450 car makes no sense. I've also changed my attitude about Ford in the last several years. While the previous poster is complaining about a '97 Ford Taurus, my family bought a '97 Mercury Sable (same car) and it now has 175,000 miles on it with never a problem -- just changing spark plugs, changing oil, and changing transmission fluid/filter.

I now drive a '02 Explorer and love it. I went from disdain for Ford to having a lot more respect for them. I wouldn't be afraid to buy a Ford.
