When I first bought the car I had the front (passenger) wheel bearing replaced as it was becoming noisy. I also had to replace the starter drive because the car had intermittent no start problems.
This is a great car for anyone who simply wants to get in and GO. The performance of the SHO model is far ahead of its time, and the car is truly oriented for the comfort of the driver.
Granted the age of the vehicle, it has held up incredibly well, and has many features one would not expect from a car this old.
I would still be driving the car, but it was involved in an unfortunate series of accidents that have now exceeded the worth of the car- it was repeated kicked in the rear quarter panel, involved in a low speed frontal accident, and broadsided by a car pulling out of a parking spot. All of this occured in less than three months, and the repair cost has greatly surpassed the worth of the car.
I'm not sure I get this comment, "has many features one would not expect from a car this old"
1992 is not all THAT long ago, we are not talking about a car from the early 1900's but one from the early 1990's. Cars from the '90s have just about the same technology as what is used in cars today.
Airbags, ABS, automatic climate control A/C, power everything, all this was not invented yesterday, and is not only available in brand new cars.
And just because a car is around 15 years old, it does not mean that the options just being disappearing as the car ages. So I'm not sure why you wouldn't expect a car to have good option just because it is a little older than new.
