1995 Ford Thunderbird LX review from North America
"Very good buy for the money!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Through the 40,000 miles I have owned my Thunderbird I can honestly say that it has only slightly let me down once.
On the way to Chicago one day I felt a bad vibration through the entire car. This came from simply needing a tune-up. Even then it was still driveable!
The carpeting is a pain to keep clean, but all in all these cars are built tough!
General comments?
Add-ons and modifications are a snap to install in most cases to the 4.6 liter V-8. I have installed a K&N mass air filter and Flowmaster exhaust recently. I can only say it makes my Thunderbird smooth!
The exhaust assembly is crazy! How many converters can you cram on one assembly! I have just recently installed dumps from my manifolds. The 4.6 liter V-8 produces the most incredible, manly sound I have ever heard.
Almost any modifications you can make to a 1995 Mustang can be made to your Thunderbird! I am installing a Vortech S-trim supercharging unit this fall. That's a sweet ride!
I know she'll be sliding over 200,000 with the proper maintenance.
