1988 Ford Thunderbird LX review from North America
"Kept on going"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
What has gone wrong with my T-bird was I bought it cheap with the oil pump not working.
The graphic equalizer did not work properly.
General comments?
Even though I knowingly bout the car with a bad oil pump, i continued to drive it daily.
When I got it the bird ran great, and handled even better.
I put no work into it, and just added a bottle of Slick 50.
Ford must have predicted people wanting to run it them into the ground because I got nearly 10,000 miles out of the little 302 that could with no oil circulation.
I bought another motor, but gave up on the project and gave the car to a family member for a project.
Next I plan to buy an 87 Turbo Coupe and maintain it, the ride and looks can't be beat.
