I drove this car for 9 months while in the USA, and did 15,000 miles driving across, up and down the country from South Carolina to California. Had no trouble at all, never broke down. Very economical to drive.
I was so impressed with this car I exported it back to Australia. Have to convert it to right hand drive.
When I go back to the USA I will buy another one.
I bought a 91 T-Bird LX Coupe V8 in 99 when we were in San Francisco for Holidays (we are European, living in Spain ). My wife and I just wanted to drive to Miami and resell the car. We went from SF to Los Angeles, through Death Valley, Las Vegas, Hoover Dam, Gran Cañon, Monument Valley ,ElPaso, Dallas, San Antonio, Houston, San Louis, all the coast down to Punta Gorda, passing the Everglades to Miami and visiting the Keys. After about 12,000 miles we were so content with the easy driving and low costs, that we decided to ship the vehicle to Spain (Thanks to Nancy from Gold Card International, Miami, who really was a great help).
Now we have driven the car without any problems more than one year through Europe. Next time in the States, we'll buy a newer model, we're really content.
The car has more than 170,000 kms now and just needs normal sevicing.
