1981 Ford Thunderbird coupe review from North America
"Great car not the best syling"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Engine rebuilt in 1999,
repainted in 2005 to a copper pearl matallac colour,
the transmission has been upgrade to a 4 speed automatic,
car seems to eat power window motors,
front struts seem to wear out fairly fast, car is on its 3rd set in 4 years.
General comments?
Car handles really well for its size and what it looks like.
Its pretty fast for a 1980 5.0 litre not breath taking thou.
Get really good fuel economy about 26 on the highway.
I love the interior design its easy to read the instruments and is detailed well.
