1995 Ford Windstar GL review from North America
"Money pit"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
My odometer broke at 5,000 miles and it haunts me today. I have tried to trade the vehicle in for a new car two different times and was told they would only give me 50 percent of the book value because that's all the wholesalers will give them.
The rear wiper motor has been replaced two times.
Rubber gaskets around the doors came off.
The windshield wiper switch broke.
The head gasket went at 46,000 miles and they replaced it, the crank seal, valve cover, transmission pan and oil pan gaskets.
The air conditioning o-rings and accumulator were replaced as well as the 4 lines for the rear A/C.
The O2 sensors were replaced.
The right headlight assembly needed to be replaced because it was 1/2 full of water.
The lift gate latches were replaced.
The MLP sensor in the transmission was replaced.
General comments?
Ford does not stand behind its products and I will never purchase a Ford product again.
