"Giant hulking cheap hunk of junk"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Oh my, where to start. This minivan is my first minivan and yes, I bought it used, but what a piece of crap. The entire electrical system is crap. Lights on and off all the time, check engine light, seatbelt lights, all flash on and on at random. You close the door and the dome lights never turn off I had to unhook them. Gas gauge died to I have to fill up and use the trip meter and GUESS at how far I can go before I run out of gas. In the two years I've had it, I've replaced the entire transmission ($2300), power steering pump once ($500), front, rear brakes with rotors ($600) plus other minor stuff I'm not remembering right now. It broke down last night on our way back from Knott's Berry Farm and my family and I were stranded on the freeway at 8pm at night and it cost me $189 to tow it home. I'm towing it to a dealer and trading it in. I'm not spending another dime on this piece of junk.

General comments?

Even if it ran right, it's an ugly, plain, no frills cheaply made crapmobile. I loathe it. I don't trust it. I can't wait to get rid of it. I wish I would have read all these reviews before I bought it.

I just had a fuel gauge problem with my Windstar GL 1998, the needle stays past full all the time now. The mechanic gave us a quote around $600 to get the fuel pump replaced. A week before that we got the ball bearing replaced, brake pads replaced, belts replaced because the braking was becoming impossible and the ABS system was interfering with the brakes too. They couldn't fix the ABS problem, but still charged $2000 for the other repairs. Should've traded it in a long time ago.
