This 1995 Windstar has been a problem car from the beginning.
Many times the sensor was replaced.
Engine and transmission have been replaced.
The extended warranty is about to expire soon and I would like to hear from people with same problems on how you can make Ford or the dealer be accountable for problems that still exist at this time since I bought the car.
The problem is 'When used for long distance driving and suddenly you hit traffic congestion, the acceleration becomes problematic. It does not pick up speed and if you pressed the gas hard, the car would jerk'. This is also true when you are entering the highway. It would not pick up speed to the point that you are scared that someone behind you might hit you at the back because of your super slow speed. Those who have experienced the same problem, I would appreciate if you send me your e-mail address at the following:

I would like to build the case against Ford if truly this a product defect. Let us join forces to make this case against Ford.
Please join me with this cause!!!!
I am interested in a class action lawsuit against Ford regarding the transmission in the 1995 Windstar. Is there anyone who has started the process. Let's make Ford take responsibility for this Lemon of a vehicle. The transmission in my 1995 Windstar is beginning to slip. It sounds as if repairs make the problem worse.
I have also had problems w/my 95 Windstar for the blown gasket. they did repair for the issue but didn't repair properly and I am losing all my oil, as the engine is burning it with in 500 miles. I have already started talking to attorneys, please let me know if there is a class action law suit. I have been dealing w/this problem now for 10 months and no solution. I am a single mother of 3. I do not feel safe in my car or feel that I can rely on it. Please advise if class act lawsuit at cntrygirlincity@hotmail.com.
I too am interested in a lawsuit. Engine replaced... speed sensor replaced 5 times. Transmission overhauled.
We also are interested in a class action law suit. My husband is in a wheel chair. We found out the hard way that the 95 Windstars just stop when you get up to 55 or 60. We were almost hit by a tractor trailer twice, that was enough. Parked it, rented a car, had our son-in-law tow the Ford junk home!!! Can be contacted at KCBUNNY777@AOL.COM
We are also very interested in holding Ford accountable for the 1995 Windstar. Ours has been in the garage for almost a week now, and we have no hopes of it being repaired quickly. The headgasket blew last Monday. (surprise! surprise!) Through looking on the Internet we have found that the original recall for headgaskets has been extended twice because of all the problems. Ford stated in a press release we found on the Internet that they would notify all windstar owners via first-class mail of the second extension. We received NO correspondence from Ford at all. Now we are told that we are simply out of luck because the last extension expired in Sept. 2001. This is pitiful treatment from this company. pcarson@1st.net.
I have a 1996 Windstar and would like to hold Ford accountable. There has been no "recall" from Ford on the '96 models even though I've read nothing but complaints on the engine and transmissions all having to be replaced. Ford did NOT fix the problem! I am in need of my 5th transmission and have also had my engine replaced!
I have a 1995 Ford Windstar and have had both the head gasket replaced and am on my fifth transmission. If you have and class action suit info please email me at loafofspam@aol.com.
Thanks
Brett.
I dumped 2000 bucks into a transmission (clutch piston) w/60K. I've been writing and fighting for years.
I am replacing my 3rd engine in a 1995 Windstar, Ford has not been held accountable for an engine that they continue to make and know is not good. I have spent 5,000.00 in repairs I have not been able to collect from them on the last two engines!!!
My wife and I were "gifted" with my father-in-law's '95 Windstar shortly after he had the head gasket replaced.
We have since had the transmission replaced 3 times and it didn't make it 6 mos. after the third repair (the last 2 under the shop's warranty) before malfunctioning again. Of course, we never heard anything from Ford- neither did my father-in-law. We have had to register it as non-operational due to it's many intractable problems, the repair costs of which being far higher than the value of the vehicle.
I've owned my 95 Ford Windstar for 4 years. After having it 2 weeks, it had to have a new transmission... now 3 times! Speed sensor changed 2 times, going on 3. It has high mileage, but I've had nothing, but headaches with it. I will not buy a Ford ever again. Of course I would like reimbursed for my trouble and money. People should be ashamed of selling vehicles like this. I'm a single parent barely making it... all I want is a working vehicle! What a nightmare. Anyone who has ever experienced "this" vehicle should be compensated for pain and suffering!
I am happy to see that I am not the only one having problems with their '95 Windstar. I have to date replaced the transmission twice, it is slipping and jerking again, the head gasket once and it is leaking again.
I also have a problem with windshield wipers needing constant replacement.
I love my Wind star BUT... I am glad to see others have had the same problem that I have had.I own a 95 Winstar I have had blown head gaskets to late to be in the recall...
I replaced the motor in 2000 a few months later I had to replace the transmission which wasn't cheap and now I'm having to replace it again. If everyone is interested in a lawsuit against FORD, count me in!Linda Lawler, Tennessee.
We also have a 95 Windstar LX. All we have had is one problem after another with it. First, all of the sensors went bad, had to have the oxygen sensors replaced, air bag light came on and won't go off even after being fixed, transmission starting jerking and slipping and now it barely goes beyond 2nd unless you press down hard on the gas pedal, but then it jerks again and feels like you are barely moving or you press it and it shakes and trembles like it is going to fall apart in the middle of the street. Just massive problems one after another. I am tired of it. But I am a single mother of 5 and I have no way of getting another vehicle. I barely get by now. I want the FORD company to come good for this. As much as we pay to buy the van and then in turn pour hand over fist money into it for this or that. I AM TOTALLY IN ON THIS;... LET'S GET THIS ROLLING. WE DESERVE THAT MUCH OUT OF IT.. We expect a vehicle to last at least longer then a yr and all we do is keep putting our hard earned money into this 95 van...

I would join any litigation against Ford for their production, marketing and selling of this vehicle. The fact that they allow it to be resold should be a crime. They know it is deffective, and should have returned every customers money with interest. This may be he worst car ever sold.
