What things have gone wrong with the car?
This was the worst vehicle I ever owned. I will never buy one again.
I had it for three days and the power steering line broke. It spent a week in the garage and when I drove it back home the line had broke again sometime along the way. It went back in the garage for THREE MONTHS!! Finally told the dealer that if it wasn't fixed We wanted a different car. Finally go it back.
Tranny shifted into 1st gear at 50mph one day when I let off the gas. About smacked my head off the windshield with my seat belt on even. Took it home and left it set. Went out a day later and all was OK. It started acting up again off and on.
Fuel pump started going out took it to a dealer for a $350 repair bill.
The door locks froze all the time in the winter. Then when I would finally get the door opened the door would not latch and I would have to use a hairdryer or a spot light to unfreeze the lock enough to get the door to shut.
The dome light started staying on all the time do to the sensor in one of the doors went bad.
O2 sensors went bad about every 3 months. after the first one I just started cleaning them on the wire wheel and put them back in.
General comments?
It ran very well till the tranny started acting up and I had to let it set all the time cause I couldn't have it fixed. and always having trouble with the doors in the winter. It was a comfortable van. I was charged twice what it was worth by the dealer I got it from and The service as bad.
I will never buy another one of these vans again. May never buy a Ford again because of it.
