1995 Geo Metro lsi review from North America
"Economical"
General comments?
This comment is for every one who is complaining
about squealing of there alternator belts and premature failure of a new one after replacing it.
On both the geo 3 and 4 cylinder engines you have to seat the belt in do this by putting on the new belt (this needs to be done with a/c belts also)
tighten the belt until you can twist the belt by hand no further than a 1/4 turn start and let the engine run for about 5 minutes shut it off and
re-tighten the belt so you can only twist it by hand
1/8 turn.
