Driver's side window has malfunctioned and needs work.
Driver's side outside door handle broke and had to be replaced, which I did.
This is my first car. When I bought it the car barely ran at all, but I didn't care because I was going to use it for gas mileage enhancement experiments. With all the different experiments I did the car still runs.
The latest thing I did with the car was tow a 1987 Chevy Sprint almost 3,000 miles across the country. Good thing I had increased the engine's horsepower with after-market products before doing this... but it worked surprisingly well considering it's a Metro. With a total weight of about 4,000 lb the car got up to 40.5 miles per gallon while towing at 55 miles per hour in 4th gear.
Anyway, the car is quite reliable and I will probably run it a couple more 100,000s of miles, after I rebuild the engine sometime in the future.
I am interested in modifying my 95 Metro for better gas mileage and power, Could you tell me what mods you performed on your Metro to increase efficiency, power and mileage. My email address is estuf6231@lanset.com.Thank you, Jim Perkins.
