1992 Geo Metro Base 4 Door Hatchback review from North America
"The Small Car with Big Ideas!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Water pump leaked after a while.
Starter failed; replaced.
Interior damage when car was bought, but it was easily repaired.
Various O-rings and seals (not main engine seal) began to leak after a while. All easily fixed.
A/C relays failed, replaced with junk yard ones, as they are $70 from Chevy.
General comments?
Extremely fun to drive.
Easy to work on and repair, however parts are generally expensive.
Engine noise is very apparent in the passenger compartment at speeds in excess of 60 MPH.
Car tracks superbly for such a light car, however gusts at high altitudes are really noticeable.
Highly suggested as a teenager's first car, or as a second car for a multi car family.
