1997 Geo Metro LSi review from North America
"I love my Geo Metro!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Had timing belt replaced at 90,000 miles.
Regular maintenance, oil change, filters and fluids checked etc.
General comments?
I Bought this car used and wasn't quite sure of the history. After I got everything checked out and did a little research, I realized this is an awesome little car!
Great gas mileage.
Easy to drive.
Not too costly to repair.
Stock stereo sounds great.
Very roomy (I have the 4 door model)
Easy to maintain.
Great for commuting.
Reliable, reliable, reliable.
However there is a lot of dashboard rattle. Very noisy.
The gas pedal is too close and the clutch is too far away. It doesn't
match up and I find my right leg being cramped after long trips.
Seats are not very comfortable.
Doesnt have cassette or CD player just radio.
Not very fast on hills. Straight highway commuting is great, but hills are a little bit of a struggle. But I didn't buy this car for power if I wanted that I would have bought a corvette! I needed something reliable for the time being and its worked out great so far.
