Well when I first got this car I had to replace both CV shafts and they still make a clunking noise.
Took out the back seats and striped the inside to make room for some speakers (2 12inch jl audio w3)
inside is really good
tires needed to be replaced right away
when I got it someone backed up into a light pole to the back bumper was cracked in half not the plastic the fiberglass in it. so my dad and I took a 2x4 and fited it in there and screwed it to it so now its like new. the rear hatch only opens the the inside cause SOMEONE broke the key off it the lock. the GEO sign in between the rear lights is Gone.
This car is awesome. never quits like the energizer bunny. for a 1.0 3 cylinder its got OK power. I went and bought a mod chip on Ebay for 7 dollars and now I can spin my tires a little on gravel. soon to get a super charger... yes they make them you have to get the electric ones. seats are awesome. the car does some awesome power slides wow. lol. everyone I know is like why did you buy that car... then gas went up.. and there like dude how many miles to the gallon you get I'm like around 50 there like can you run me down to the store lol. mooches. I'm soon to get a body kit. paint job and some other things. like neon's and stuff.
Don't, but the elec ones they do NOT work, and the mod chip does not work either, its all in your head, that car is made for MPG and that's it! Not to be suped up and riced out, buy a honda civic for that.
Those ebay mod chips work like this: The 'chip' connects to your IAT, Intake Air Temperature sensor and modifies the voltage coming off of it, and this fools the computer into thinking it's cold outside all the time, and therefor the computer allows more fuel to be injected into the engine. More fuel equals more power. You'll probably see a 3 to 4 miles per gallon decrease in fuel economy if you continue to use that 'chip'. You'll also need to change your oil and spark plugs more often, and you'll need to clean out your EGR valve and passages more often too. You would likely get as much benefit from advancing your timing 3 or 4 degrees above stock (5 is stock, 8 or 9 is better). This is totally free, and only requires about 15 minutes, some basic sockets and a timing light. Check out www.teamswift.net to get more information on timing advancing. Oh, skip the electric supercharger. They just place a restriction in your intake system and don't give you any added power. Plus the cost of one of those things would pay for 2 tanks of gas in your Geo, with money left over.
