1996 Geo Tracker 4x4 Convertible review from North America
"I love my Tracker!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
1 Clutch cable snapped. I assume this is because of many hours of in city driving. Lots of starting and stopping. Low beam lamps often went bad due to the day time running lamps. Long life bulbs seem to offset this. My 4 wheel drive does not work this year. Awesome car for five years...6th year...I can live with a repair finally.
General comments?
I have driven this tracker on 30 different long trips up mountains, on highways and state to state. This model has the get up and go needed for all types of trips. Very economical mileage!
The 4x4 makes this an awesome winter weather choice!
The convertible top is awesome in the summer. Very easy to put back up or you can just use the sun roof. Drop the back window or take out the sides. Numerous configurations! Very warm even in the winter.
This car definitely enhances mood on a nice summer day! A+++++
