Just had to replace the alternator.
My father gave me this car. He took it to a mechanic to have it checked out when he bought it last year and the wanted to buy it from him for his daughter. The one thing I can use help with is to get the radio working again.. It went into Lock when the alternator went and I'm not sure how to get it working again.. I read the book, can anyone tell me I need to keep holding the seek button in or what?
The radio has a security code that needs to be entered whenever the battery is disconnected.
If you press the radio button 2 and 3 at the same time you will receive a 3 or 4 digit code (if you receive a 3 digit code you may have to press am/fm to receive additional numbers) this number must be called into GM thru a dealer and then your actual code is given to you. Once you have that, you can press 2 and 3 again and use your seek and tune (i think) to put in your code then press am/fm - The radio should come on.
