1995 Geo Tracker Base from North America - Comments

"FUN!!!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

The Speedometer Cord is really loud, needs to be replaced.

Right Front Hub rusted out needs to be replaced.

Check Engine Light keeps coming on even after I've had it checked.

I've started to notice when I'm shifting gears, the engine revs up almost like the clutch is starting to stick...

I had to replace driver side door because of an accident. Same problem with the window being difficult to wind up and down.

General comments?

I've also wanted a Tracker forever and I've finally bought one in May of 2005. I love driving my Tracker and turn lots of heads.

I live in Colorado so I can't wait to use it in the winter time. I'm hoping it will do very well in the snow.

I do have a concern about the clutch and shifting, does anyone have an idea of why it is behaving this way?

Does anyone know how to replace to bulbs for the interior lights (gas light, brake light, etc.)?

If the clutch is wearing out, you will see it engaging much higher up the pedal travel than before and just before failure it will start to slip all the time.

You may have an engine oil leak into the bellhousing (which will cause clutch judder and fierceness, which is not what you are describing) and the cable may be starting to seize up (i.e. so when you release the clutch pedal the clutch stays disengaged for longer than expected). My thoughts would be to check the clutch cable (unless it is hydraulically operated, but my understanding is that the Geo product line, which is not sold in the UK, is budget based and budget cars tend to favour cable operated clutches).
