2003 GMC 1/2 Ton Sierra 1500 review from North America
"Great Truck, lousy rear brakes!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The only problem I have had is the rear disk brake system. Anyone who thinks using rear disks on a work truck just does not understand what gravel, sand and salt do to the system. Have almost used up the second rebuild, when it is worn out I am converting to brake drums.
General comments?
The truck has been an excellent work horse. Does 150 miles a day on a rural mail route, pulls an 18 foot utility trailer that has moved cars, trucks and the occasional farm tractor with never a whimper. All that and an average of 22 miles per gallon.
