1998 GMC Jimmy review from North America
"Great value, reliable car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Driver's seat has worn through to the base.
Passenger seat frame broke.
Went through 4 fuel level sensors in tank at 50,000, 120,000, 285,000, and 312,000.
Went through 2 transfer cases; first replaced at 160,000, and then at 310,000.
Transmission at 300,000.
Front end went and had steering components replaced at 290,000.
General comments?
Excellent SUV. Bought for $500 and have driven with normal wear ever since.
The SUV had front end problems that were resolved, but I love this truck.
The interior is worn from being a work truck, but everything else has stood the test.
The Vortec 4.3 just won't quit with 375000 miles on the original engine.
