1998 GMC Jimmy SLT review from North America
"Good vehicle, but too many repairs needed"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Both front wheel bearing assemblies have been replaced.
Transmission was replaced/rebuilt at 88,000 miles.
Replaced rear wiper motor.
Replaced ignition switch.
Replaced drivers and passenger side hinges and bushings.
Drivers side window control panel is loose.
General comments?
Truck has always run well and has never left me stranded.
Great low end torque for towing and overall power.
Front seats are comfortable, not the rear seats.
Plenty of room in cargo area.
Four wheel drive is great.
I enjoy the vehicle a lot, but it is overpriced for the length of time it will last and how much it costs to repair.
