1998 GMC Jimmy SLS review from North America
"All we have done is pretty much drive it, very inexpensive transportation"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Replaced passenger side electric window motor at 40,000 miles.
The dash rattles quite a bit as well as the entire interior that is plastic.
Replaced the main serpentine belt at 50,000 miles.
General comments?
The truck is easy to get in and out of.
The seats are comfortable and show hardly any wear.
The finish looks as good as when it was new.
Replaced the brakes only once, nothing has ever gone wrong with the engine, or any other part in the entire truck.
For the money paid, I feel it has been one of the most trouble free vehicles that I have ever owned.
It gets respectable gas mileage, and has plenty of power.
It handles very good.
It does have several "blind spots", which poses somewhat of a small problem when backing up.
I am only on my 3rd set of tires, just bought them at 70,000 miles, so obviously its very good on tires.
