1999 GMC Jimmy SLT review from North America
"Typical big business tactics. Cheaper faster"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I have spent an absolute fortune in Hub Assemblies. Replaced the drivers front side 4 years ago. Warning, only buy AC DElCO, don't get sucked into the cheap game with the chinese parts. Found that out the hard way. 6 weeks ago had to repalce it again. The bearing lasted 14 miles and the entire hub came apart and I ended up in teh ditch on the other side of the road. I then got the AC DELCO assembly, but this morning my ABS light came on again. All totalled I have had 5 differnet bearings in the drivers side front.
New fuel pump
New throttle assembly
New catalytic converter
Ball Joints-OMFG so many ball joints
rear wiper motor
lots of brake pads
Trannie leaks into transfer case.
Dealerships will not give yu squat for a trade in on them either, they know and so does GM, but will not do anything about it.
General comments?
I loved it when I first bought it, but it is costing me a fortune to keep running.
