1988 GMC Sierra SL 4x4 review from North America
"Unreal Power and torque"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Bought the truck because the guy didn't think he needed 4x4 anymore and thought the truck was too old with only 143,000 on the odometer I bought the truck from the guy that bought it new from faulkner Gmc and he took super good care of it longbed with the 350 and automatic with air on the way home from the fella's house the exhaust fell off now quite loud I run 15W40 Fleet oil in it the motor was bored.40 over so it's built to run needs front brake rotors and pads soon and could use a set of tires it's 4 wheel drive and it's a true 4x4 system my buddy thought it would be a good idea to go through the pond on his farm he got in frame deep (also has a 1988 chevy shortbed) I hooked up to him in 4 low and yanked him right out like he wasnt even stuck.
General comments?
Not sure what these guys with imports are thinking when they come up beside me at lights?? the only thing I can't pass is a gas station.
Wish it was a 4 speed so I could launch the truck off the line better if I put it in 1st and shift up it does good, but it's needs a 4 speed.
Very good
