2001 GMC Van review from North America
"Very expensive"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I have owned this van for 4 years now and recently found out that the 3.1’s and 3.4’s have a problem with the coolant mixing with the oil. You will notice this by the engine starting to tap very loudly. A mechanic told me it was going to cost approximately $1800.00 to get it repaired. My oil has been changed every 5000 km and still this happened. Very nice van to drive, but expensive for repairs if not under warranty. If the van has this problem you would think there would be a recall.
I have also changed the thermostat.
I have also replaced the driver's side power window switch.expensive.
