1988 Holden Commodore VL Turbo Executive / X-Police review from Australia and New Zealand
"If you're after a quick, reliable and off your face car, don't pass a VL Turbo!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I blew the head, after a long and hard day at Mallalla Raceway doing about 170km/h down the back straight. That was an expensive mistake, but had it fixed and am running even better times!
General comments?
I love the VL Turbo. I have had it about a year and a half and I've had no major problems! There is nothing better than running against Silvias, WRX's etc keeping up or just blowing their socks off. They're a real street sleeper without their Turbo badges! People always seem to think they're just normal VL's and that they can woop their ass until you hit 10 psi in 2nd gear and start peeling rubber past them with a slight tail twitch.
