1992 Holden Commodore Executive review from Australia and New Zealand
"Good ol' Girl!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Crank angle sensor.
Head gasket once ages ago, before the odometer stopped working.
Whatever fell off doesn't matter, as it will still go.
Electric fan played up once or twice... easy fix however.
Hand brake cable hangs too low under the vehicle.
General comments?
Car can cop a complete thrashing and tow more than what it is meant to. Can go where it definitely shouldn't, and I'm glad it hasn't got a tacho!
I had to replace engine mounts after a while, as they are weak from repeated heavy acceleration.
Has got a bull bar, and has killed many skippys and is still alright.
Air con works a treat!
It has raised V8 Ute coils in the suspension, which work fine and are better for towing.
Needs more bash plates under the sump from standard.
