1992 Holden Commodore Executive review from Australia and New Zealand
"A good fun car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The boot seal leaked until I fixed it.
With some silicone.
Rear right door doesn't always lock.
Requires new actuator.
General comments?
The car is seriously quick for a six
and will beat any eighties V8's easily
as well as VN, VR, VT, VX and VY sixes
in a straight line, only the VS is
faster as it has a better power to
weight ratio.
The car is dangerous in the wet if it
not treated with respect and some
caution when cornering and taking off.
The car's main problem is its body-roll
up the back which I will rectify soon.
The car is very reliable and I usually get about 450km from 45 - 50 liters of fuel which is very good considering I drive the car fairly hard most of the time.
Overall It is a great car to drive with the fun of a 5speed manual and an awesome sound system.
Autos are rubbish.
