2005 Honda Accord Hybrid review from North America
"This car has truly exceeded my expectation in performance, economy, and reliability"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I've only taken this car to the dealer once just to tighten a bolt on the steering wheel column.
General comments?
This car is an excellent choice for consumers who are not willing to give up size and performance in place of economy.
I have 79,000 trouble free and dealer free miles on the car right now.
Gas mileage averages for city (between 28 and 32) and highway (between 36 and 42) driving are around 32 mpg if you drive this car like a hybrid and not like Speed Racer.
The cabin is comfortable and quiet as long as you have good tire treading. However, when treading is low, there is a slight roaring noise (to people with sensitive hearing) which can be heard inside the cabin.
The navigation system is excellent and is very user friendly.
The sound system could use better speakers; I would rate the sound system below average.
This car is great for long distance driving. I've driven around 530 miles on one tank and had enough gas left over to safely make it to a gas station 50 miles away. My trip to Detroit from Atlanta averaged 39 mpg which was excellent.
