1986 Honda Accord LX review from North America
"Outstanding little vehicle A+"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The heater core located under the center dashboard started leaking. The problem was fixed by bypassing the heater core, thus disabling cabin heating.
Paint is starting to wear away.
General comments?
I love this car. IF YOU MAINTAIN YOURS, IT WILL LAST A LONG TIME! Just do simple things periodically, like cleaning the carb with spray cleaner, changing the oil and filter, running carb/jet cleaner in your gas, and buying a tank of premium every once in a while, and this car will run for a LONG time.
I would highly recommend buying this car.
*** Beware - the timing belt, alternator, and transmission are the most common and expensive things that need to be fixed. As long as these are changed or serviced recently, you can rest a lot more comfortably that your purchase was a good one.
I hope that helps!
