1999 Honda Accord LX review from North America
"I love it and it loves me"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Radiator hose blew at 118,000. Nothing major, just maintenance - new tires twice, 115,000 mile belt changes, etc.
General comments?
Love, love, love it. It's super reliable, even in the Chicago bitter cold. Always starts.
Comfortable for me and my 6'0" husband. Have taken it to three corners of the U.S. with no troubles.
Love the tight handling and good turning radius. Peppy ride and good pick up for a 4 cylinder. Drives great in snow and ice.
Crashed it in 2003 with front end damage and it came back and still performs like a dream. Site lines are good, no blind spots. I love the simple dash and easy controls.
I use it to haul things from the home supply store, and have good room in the trunk and seats, and can fit long items like a rolled up carpet or baseboard trim through the cubby hole opening in the back seats. I wish it would last forever. It's the best car I've ever owned.
