2000 Honda Accord EX review from North America
"Decent"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I've been reading a lot of forums lately trying to figure out where the main relay is located in my wife's 2000 Accord EX (neither the Haynes manual nor the Honda owner's manual has it listed).
I've noticed a lot of people have complained about the SRS light that staying on. It's a common problem and is covered under warranty (those who paid to have it fixed should look into being reimbursed. It'll save you a few hundred bucks). We just had ours replaced free of charge.
Also, the transmission has been a problem for that model year as well and is also covered under warranty (up to the first 7 years of ownership or 117,000 miles, whichever comes first). Hope it helps.
Also, expect the damn main relay/fuel pump relay to malfunction during hot weather, causing the Honda not to start (waiting 10-15 minutes before restarting sometimes helps).
General comments?
Car's been somewhat of a pain lately, but what do you expect at over 100,000 miles right?
