1981 Honda Accord LX review from North America
"Good car, small car, works OK, but not without coolant"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Frost plug worked loose. Engine blew a head gasket.
Rotors warped prematurely a couple of times.
Car would stall at random.
Rust ate out the area under the driver's seat.
The seats had degraded badly when we were done with it.
General comments?
This little silver car did a good job filling a small-car spot in our yard. It would start more often than not, and even when it stalled, it would be easy to get running again quickly.
It could take a lot of stuff, but was uncomfortable, especially when sharing the seat with stuff that wouldn't fit in the trunk. The black cloth seats were worn to tatters when we were done with it. The radio was okay, but going.
This was mainly my dad's car, so it racked up a lot of kilometers going to and from work, and going on farm calls. One time it even pulled a truck to town. This car was with our family a short time, but I don't recall it ever being a problem. We sold it for a pair of tires for another car of ours.
