1993 Honda Accord EX review from North America
"After 120,000 miles, still a great car!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Overall, an awesome car. It has never let me down once. There have been a few fit and finish problems, (interior door handle casing, heater control knob!!!), but nothing a few bucks at the dealership couldn't fix.
I must say that I have been very disapointed with my manual transmission(s). My first had a bad 1-2 synchronizer at 95,000 miles. This is my second, (bought used with 91,000 miles on it) and now the 2-3 synchronizer is bad. I can drive a stick shift very well, but Honda as well as I blame it on poor maintenance! Not changing the transmission oil when recommended is a sure fire way to destroy any transmission. Since I bought the car used, who knows when - and if it was ever changed - as well as with my current transmission.
IMPOSSIBLE TO BALANCE THE ALLOY WHEELS, has been a consistent annoyance. They are not bent or deformed in any way!!!
General comments?
Overall, I love it. It has been a good investment (for a car). It is still fun to drive, and handles and looks like it's new. I have managed to prevent that rust by the rear wheels from coming out!!! YES!!!
I love the Accord automatic transmissions a lot, and will most likely buy the automatic next time.
