2000 Honda Accord LX Sedan review from North America
"Poor quality and overrated junk"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
It's more like, like, what HASN'T gone wrong with the car:
Brake rotors warped twice.
Both head gaskets.
Faulty factory oil pan leaked, not installed properly.
Alternator.
Worthless transmission keeps searching for the right gear, never finds it, and shakes and shudders all the way there.
Poor quality door/trunk seals leak.
Poor acceleration and performance, especially in cold weather.
Engine shook at idle.
CV joints were shot at only 12,000 miles.
Worthless dealer tried to refuse to acknowledge these problems, and wouldn't until he was nearly beaten to a pulp.
General comments?
If I wanted a piece of crap with tons of problems, I would've bought a Chevy Citation. I bought one new back in '82. More dependable than I can say for this loser-mobile. All that mumbo-jumbo about how Hondas are better than American cars makes me sick, now that I made the mistake of buying one. I'll be trading for a new FORD Crown Victoria Sport soon. At least these are proven cars that are powerful, durable, reliable, economical for their size, and can have someone touch their fenders without having them dent.
"Buying a Honda is like wiping your ass with a piece of crap".
