1993 Honda Accord EX-R review from North America

The window tracks or guides on both windows are misalligned and are causing the windows to vibrate.

The ABS light goes on when outside temperature is really hot or really cold.

The exhaust piping and muffler go rather quickly, need to be replacved often, expecially near flanges, rust quickly.

Ball joints absolutely need to be replaced every 100 000 kms or 60 000 miles otherwise you risk snapping them, and loosing your wheels, trust me I know from actual experience. Lower ball joints are more troublesome than upper.

Bearings start to make noise at around 150 000 kms, they should be changed too.

Engine is just starting to burn oil at 225 000 kms or approx, 140 000 miles.

I love the car, although I've had growing number of problems the last year, it runs great. I'll continue to change parts, sometimes original Honda is not worth the money, as in exhaust piping. Body is great, no rust yet, after 9 years. Not a very quick car, but it's alright, good for crusing highways. Gas mileage, in my opinion, is good, not that expensive, and I can go a long way with a full tank, unlike some cars which you can only fill enough to go 400 kms max. I've been able to run 550 kms per tank on half highway half city driving, by the way my highway running is mostly traffic oriented.
