2002 Honda Accord EX V6 review from North America
"Great Luxury vehicle at a bargain price"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The car is perfect.
General comments?
The car accelerates from a stop with a great deal of power. It took me several days to get use to this and stop burning rubber when leaving an intersection.
The five speed automatic transmission turns 1500 RPM at a constant speed of 35 and at a constant speed of 65 the RPM are 1700. This must account for the very good gas mileage.
The finish of this vehicle is very good both inside and out. Before buying this vehicle I considered and road tested a BMW 325I and a Mercedes C240. The Honda with 240 horsepower far out performed the C240 (168 horsepower) and was in the same ballpark as the BMW (184 horsepower). The fit and finish of these three vehicles is comparable, except the BMW does not have a standard leather interior.
The price difference, which was approximately $6,500, made the Honda Accord EX V6 the right choice.
With the Honda resale value and cost of maintenance, even the gas savings, the Honda runs on regular and the BMW and Mercedes require high octane, have confirmed that I have made the right choice.
