1999 Honda Accord 1.8se review from UK and Ireland
"Class performance at a more modest cost"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing has gone wrong with this car.
General comments?
The Accord is a comfortable drive although it isn't particularly fast. The automatic gearbox is a dream. We obtained it because it was big enough to get two bikes in the back.
The car is very refined and competent, coming into its own on fast roads such as French autoroutes where it's possible to set the cruise control to 85 and just sit back.
Two things I don't like: (a) it doesn't come with a CD player, (b) the seat colour is pretty awful (beige).
Fuel economy generally poor (around 32 miles/gallon normally), although we achieved around 40 on the French motorways.

| A great Accord that's roomy enough for 4 or 5 people, but still has some go if you push it |
