Generally this is a very reliable and fun car. One thing that does bother me is that I suspect I have a master cylinder with a slow leak as the brake pedal goes to the floor after extensive use (such as being in a traffic jam). I had the brake fluid bled and brake system tested OK, but it the pedal still goes to the floor.
My trunk gets wet when raining. I read that this is a defect on this model Accord.
My driver side window is a little off track, can hear the wind at 50+ miles.
Also my power lock on driver door doesn't lock when door is open.
Other than those "minor" (except brake), the car is in incredible shape and performs well for a car with almost 200,000 miles. Would definitely buy a Honda again.
Your driver's side door lock isn't supposed to lock when the door is open...
It's a safty feature so you don't lock your keys in your car...
As far as the problem with the driver side window, I have the same problem. Also, most of my window motors seem to be running out of juice. Just a hint on locking your door when it is open: You must hold the inside door handle open when locking or unlocking. Could be a safety feature, but I just think it's a hassle. After a while I just put in an after market alarm system with keyless entry. Works much better!
For the slow windows guys have dealwership or reapirman put lubricant on the windows, that's why they slow down inside the window tracks the lubricant is gone, its not the motor itself.
Trunk probably leaks because gaskets between tail lens assemblies and body have failed.
Took me a long time to figure this out. Fixed with ample application of silicon sealant. No problem now, after many years.
