1989 Honda Accord LXi Coupe review from North America
"The best car I have ever owned in my life!!!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing ever went wrong with the car! It was the best car I have ever owned in my life.
General comments?
It only required regular maintenance.
Incredibly economical. Best mpg was 35.7 at around if speed kept under 70 mph.
Fabulous seats with lumbar support and great lateral support too.
Quiet, good handling and drop dead reliability.
I moved to Germany when the car was already almost ten years old. I then began to abuse the car regularly on the autobahn.
For about 70000 miles I drove it very hard. (from 116000 to almost 176000 miles.) Even with it's age and high mileage, it never failed me in spite of repeated long trips at speeds where I routinely buried the speedometer at 130 mph.
It was adequately powered and still very economical. It had a 16 gallon tank and so had a range of 560 miles on one tank of gas!
I'd still have it if an idiot hadn't wrecked it.
