1987 Honda Accord LX-i review from North America
"A great car for the money!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Hydraulics in hatchback failed with previous owners.
Alternator went out at 152000 Miles
Clutch went out at 157000.
Seats are in fair condition with only a few mild tears.
Dashboard Clock failed before purchase.
Shifter sometimes gets stuck in reverse and also it occasionally grinds when putting in reverse.
Muffler fell off at 157450 Miles.
Power windows need adjusting.
Passenger side door handle busted and no longer opens the door.
Tilt steering hasn't worked since purchase.
Driver side front fender is dented in, also the headlight next to it is not facing as forward as the other headlight.
General comments?
This car is really quick and reliable.
At high speeds it gets thrown around a bit, however if racing tires were installed it would handle like a dream.
Shifts smoothly into gears except with reverse occasionally when it either grinds into gear or gets stuck when attempting to pull it out of gear (only in reverse).
Air conditioning, cruise control, and AM/FM Stereo by Denon with Cassette work perfectly.
Paid only $995.
