1994 Honda Accord EX review from North America
"Better than a Civic and, in the used car arena, the same price!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The car has been great. I had to change the CV boots and re-pack them with grease (which very normal on most cars). The rest of the work is general maintenance include oil every 3.5K. The only issues I have with the car is the rough shifts when the engine is cool and the lack of overdrive (you know the 1/2 gear that is suppose to kick in over 80 km/h).
The only other problem is the radio which is now unworkable (But, this is not Honda's fault since they contracted out the radio production)
General comments?
Great car. Extremely reliable and I think pretty good looking for A Japanese sedan of 1994. Great seats and nice steering and suspension.
I think it could have more power, but I think some of this problem is the lack of a good transmission. Honda has never made good autos and continue to have problems with their new 5 speed tiptronic T/CL's.
I would buy another Accord... my car's name is Baby Blue (after its Sage Green colour!)
