1985 Honda Accord DX review from North America
"Fun, cheap, comfortable, and reliable!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The radiator, timing belt, and CV joints all had to be replaced at various times. This was consistent with normal wear and tear.
The body was beginning to show signs of rust when I purchased it, but did not accelerate or advance so much over the 3 years I owned it.
General comments?
My previous car was an 84 Accord hatchback, and I sold it due to extremely high mileage and advanced rust, only to purchase this car. I no longer have this car due to an accident with a drunk driver (no injuries). I will miss it for it was fun, and reliable!
I cannot say enough good about these cars, between the 2 of them I drove almost 100,000 miles.
Outside of routine suggested maintenance, all I did was change the oil every 3,000 miles. Just keep on top of the maintenance and they are great!
These cars were always predictable and never left me stranded. A GREAT value for a older used car.
